The trade offs are cost, it sits at the premium end, and more lock in, because the value is bound up in its ecosystem. Cohesity is really a data management platform that happens to do backup, aimed at consolidating protection, files and analytics at scale onto one platform. Following its combination with the Veritas NetBackup business, it also carries a large enterprise install base. For a very large organisation looking to consolidate, it can make sense. For everyone else it is often more platform than the job needs.
Commvault has the broadest workload coverage of the four, decades of enterprise heritage, and can protect almost anything. That breadth is its strength and its cost: it is generally the most complex to deploy and run, and you pay for capability across a wide surface. Where you have genuinely diverse, unusual workloads, its coverage is hard to beat.

And it is genuinely simpler to run day to day than the more platform heavy options.
